Thomas Chambers                                                                                                                

Thomas M. Chambers, PhD is a Professor in the Department of Veterinary Science, University of Kentucky, USA, and works at the Maxwell H. Gluck Equine Research Center.  Since 1991 he has been working on equine influenza virus evolution, detection, innate immunity, and vaccine development.  He directs an Office International des Epizooties (OIE) Reference Laboratory for equine influenza, one of four in the world for this disease, and is a founding member of the international equine influenza Expert Surveillance Panel that makes recommendations on vaccine strain selection.  He is a co-inventor of modified-live virus vaccines for equine influenza, one of which is marketed in the USA, and co-organized the 3rd ISIRV International Symposium on Neglected Influenza Viruses.

 Ann Cullinane

Ann Cullinane MVB, PhD, MRCVS has been Head of Virology Unit at the Irish Equine Centre since 1987 and Head of a World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) reference laboratory for equine influenza since 2009. She is Chair of the OIE Expert Surveillance Panel (ESP) for equine influenza, Adjunct Professor in the Department of Life Sciences, University of Limerick and  an Associate of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University College Dublin.  In 2015 she was designated an OIE expert for equine rhinopneumonitis.

 Janet Daly (Chair)

Janet Daly, PhD MRCPath is an Associate Professor of Emergent Viruses in the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science at the University of Nottingham, UK. She began working in the field of equine influenza at the Animal Health Trust in 1990, completing her PhD on antigenic and genetic variation of equine influenza viruses in 1995, and has maintained an interest in neglected influenza viruses to this day. She co-organized the 2018 International Symposium on Neglected Influenza Viruses in Brighton, UK and is currently serving as Chair of the Neglected Influenza Virus Group, having taken up the mantle from Greg Gray.

Stacey Schultz-Cherry             

Stacey Schultz-Cherry, PhD is a Full Member (Professor) in the Department of Infectious Diseases at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in the US.  Her research focuses on the influenza and enteric virus pathogenesis as well as influenza surveillance in South America (https://www.stjude.org/schultz-cherry).  She is on the editorial board for several journals including the Journal of Virology and MBio and is currently President-Elect of the American Society for Virology. She co-organized the recent International Symposium on Neglected Influenza Viruses in Athens, Georgia.
